TO ALL KPY MEMBERS:

JUST A QUICK REMINDER THAT WE ARE HOLDING A GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY JUNE 17TH AT 8 PM AT THE WILLIAM T. ROGERS MIDDLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA AT 8 PM.  ALL PARENTS AND COACHES SHOULD ATTEND.  THIS IS ONE OF ONLY FOUR GM MEETINGS LEFT TO ATTEND PRIOR TO THE ELECTION IN DECEMBER.  REMEMBER, YOU MUST HAVE ATTENDED THREE MEETINGS IN 2009 FROM JANUARY THRU NOVEMBER IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN DECEMBERS ELECTION. We do not meet in July and August.  This is a big election year with all four officer positions being up for election as well as the trustee positions.  Daryl Valinchus, Charlie Leo and Gerry Flannery are all interested in running for President of KPY and with Ray Mayer, Dina Mayer and myself not running for re-election, there will be an entirely new board on January 1st, so I urge all members to come to three meetings as minimum, participate in KPY and be in the know as to what functions are taking place, learn important dates for upcoming events, various sports registrations, etc. and make sure you are eligible to vote. All three candidates will make a fine President and I am sure KPY will continue to be the best community organization in Kings Park.

We are reviewing and modifying the by-laws as reported previously.  We still have a few items to finalize so this document will not be finalized for tomorrows meeting.  We will meet as a Board and get a final copy drafted and then get it out to the community by posting it on the web site with all proposed changes for community review.  We will then have a community vote (members in good standing only) in September.
