My name is Jill Fanuzzi and I am very excited to start my first year as KPY’s Cheerleading Coordinator. With Virginia Tolkin and Nancy O’Hare’s help, I look forward to a season full of fun, teamwork, and spirit. Last year, I was cheer-mom for one of the cheerleading squads. As a “non-cheerleader” I was a bit nervous about taking that roll, but I had a great time with the girls and learned all the cheers with them! This year as coordinator, I am looking for some parent volunteers to be cheer-moms. I promise you…If I could learn the cheers, anyone can!!

KPY Cheerleading Teams are assigned to Tackle Football Teams and cheer for that team throughout the season. Most, if not all, games are on Sunday. Some games are home at Memorial Field and others are away at other Suffolk County fields. We have practice Tuesdays and Fridays at Memorial. I am trying to enlist the help of the Kings Park High School Cheerleaders to have them teach our kids some of the cheers. The girls love to work with the older Cheerleaders.
